Joan S. Murphy is a member of the Firm’s Health Insurance Department. Ms. Murphy’s practice involves consulting with health insurers and health maintenance organizations on legal and regulatory matters pertaining to health insurance products, drafting health care benefit plans and securing regulatory approval of the plans. Her key clients include Excellus Health Plan. Ms. Murphy joined the Firm in 2001 after a 17-year career with Empire BlueCross BlueShield, most recently as Assistant Vice President and Associate Counsel. She is a member of the Albany County and New York State Bar Associations.
